“Garden of Peony Pavilion” (2026)
Minecraft · Python over RCON · 19 buildings in 5 clusters

A Ming private garden rebuilt from the text of The Peony Pavilion (1598). Nineteen buildings in five clusters on a 120 by 90 block plot, every structure traced back to a line in scenes 7, 9, 10 and 12 — the pavilion, the peony rail, the plum grove, the painted boat — and laid out on the principles of a late-Ming scholar's garden: conceal before you reveal, borrow the distant view, never show the whole at once.
Nothing was placed by hand. A Python builder speaks to the server over RCON, a declarative blueprint system describes each building, a verifier walks the result and reports what deviates from the plan. The screenshots are the garden as it stands.
